An office with a healthy ambition
Bupa place is the largest single-occupancy building in Manchester and occupies a prominent waterside location adjacent to the award-winning MediaCity.
Health and wellbeing was at the core of the design brief and we have designed light open spaces, fully glazed façades and a large central atrium which creates a vibrant working environment within. Circulation stairs are finished to a high standard with natural daylight to encourage staff to get active and stay healthy.
Façade designed to protect from the sun as well as retain waterfront views
The building façade is designed to curve away from the waterfront, creating space for the high-quality external landscaping and waterside terraced areas and maximising views across the water. The design incorporates solar shading to the southern façades, creating a striking feature for the building.
Bupa Place is a sustainable, energy-efficient building that is rated BREEAM Excellent.
3D Bim technology
The building was designed using 3D BIM from the outset, creating a sustainable design in full coordination with the specialist design consultants involved.
Chapman Taylor’s CAT A internal finishes included the central core areas, the feature atrium and the open-plan floorplates. The appointment also included the tenant’s bespoke CAT B fit out.
