Michael Swiszczowski to speak at Bisnow Build-to-Rent Annual Conference at London’s Wembley Stadium on 23 September

Chapman Taylor is sponsoring and will be participating at the Bisnow Build-to-Rent Annual Conference at London’s Wembley Stadium on 23 September, where Residential Director Michael Swiszczowski will once again be among the key speakers.

The event, a key fixture on the UK Build-to-Rent sector calendar, will see industry experts talk about a range of current topics, including the repurposing of existing buildings for Build-to-Rent (or Multifamily) homes, the crucial role of community engagement in supporting the wellbeing of residents and the use of smart technology.

Michael will be taking part in a panel discussion on "Expansion in the 'burbs: The long-term benefits of suburban Build-to-Rent" alongside key figures from Rightmove, Legal & General, IMMO Capital, Urban&Civic and Buro 4. As well as discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with Build-to-Rent developments in suburban locations, he will be expanding on some of the issues he explored in his recent Insight papers on the sector, including the excellent template that Build-to-Rent offers for post-Covid residential design and the ways in which Build-to-Rent developments must be future-proofed for future consumer behaviour.

With experience working on award-winning residential projects, Michael is helping to lead the expansion of our Build-to-Rent residential portfolio across the United Kingdom, including high-profile developments at Flax Place in Leeds and Kampus and Anchorage Gateway in Manchester. He speaks regularly at Build-to-Rent industry events, explaining why Chapman Taylor believes that the format is an important element in tackling the UK’s housing crisis as well as helping to provide the basis for a strong sense of community in towns and cities.

Kampus and Anchorage Gateway in Manchester

The UK Build-to-Rent sector continued to thrive in 2020, despite the pandemic, with a record £3.5 billion invested. With institutional investors and the government very active in the sector, the Bisnow Build-to-Rent Annual Conference will gather key figures to discuss the future of the Build-to-Rent phenomenon.

The all-day event, themed “Redefining the home”, takes place from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and the schedule of activities can be found here. Please come and see us at our stand; we will be delighted to talk to you about our experience of, and insights into, the rapidly evolving sector
