Six residential projects showcasing Chapman Taylor's design approach to contemporary living

At Chapman Taylor, our design philosophy is simple: Good Design – Design for Good. We believe that good residential design should enrich people's lives, create lasting value and contribute positively to the world around us. 'Design for Good' reflects our commitment to sustainability, creating places that are environmentally responsible, socially inclusive and economically resilient, while responding sensitively to their context and the needs of future generations.

Across our global residential portfolio, this philosophy is brought to life through thoughtful design, placemaking, sustainable design principles and a deep understanding of how people want to live. From reconnecting communities with nature and regenerating urban sites to delivering innovative new neighbourhoods and luxury residential destinations, each project balances architectural quality with environmental performance, wellbeing and long-term resilience.

The six projects featured below demonstrate how Good Design – Design for Good is shaping contemporary residential developments around the world, creating homes and communities that are designed to thrive for generations to come.

Located in the heart of Baku, Botanica Residence introduces a new benchmark for premium urban living. The 56,000 m² GBA above-ground development combines contemporary architecture with generous green spaces, creating an elegant residential environment centred on wellbeing, sustainability and community. Carefully designed public realm, landscaped courtyards and high-quality amenities provide residents with a refined lifestyle while strengthening connections to the surrounding city.

The development comprises four residential towers containing 359 premium apartments and four penthouses. Two of the buildings rise to 22 storeys and two to 18 storeys.

Designed to promote healthier, more sustainable living through energy-efficient design, extensive landscaping, green spaces and a connection to nature

Situated on Baku Boulevard within the prestigious Crescent Bay masterplan, Liman Estate offers an exclusive waterfront lifestyle through a collection of low-rise residential buildings and luxury villas overlooking the Caspian Sea. Designed around the principles of low-density living, the gated community balances privacy with exceptional amenities, landscaped gardens and direct access to one of the city's most desirable waterfront locations.

The development comprises 209 apartments across four low-rise residential buildings, 12 luxury villas, a private members' club, restaurant, fitness centre, indoor swimming pool and landscaped gardens, all brought together within a low-density, landscape-led masterplan that maximises natural light, waterfront views and green space to create a healthier, more sustainable living environment.

A luxury waterfront destination designed to connect people with nature, community and contemporary luxury

Positioned between the Adriatic coastline and dramatic mountain landscapes, Orikum Horizon reimagines coastal living through a mixed-use masterplan that integrates 150,000 m² of residential neighbourhoods with hospitality, retail, leisure and public spaces. Organised into five distinctive character areas, the development creates a walkable, people-focused community where architecture, landscape and lifestyle come together to establish a new benchmark for the Albanian Riviera.

Landscape-led design integrates generous green spaces, walkable public realms and waterfront promenades, creating a vibrant coastal community that encourages active lifestyles, wellbeing and a strong connection to nature.

The masterplan reflects Chapman Taylor's multidisciplinary expertise in architecture, urban design, landscape, and placemaking

In Berlin, Chapman Taylor is transforming a former communications and electronics plant into a vibrant riverside residential neighbourhood. The 26,800 m² gross floor area scheme comprises nine contemporary residential buildings arranged around landscaped public spaces and a new riverside park, creating an attractive community that reconnects residents with the River Dahme while breathing new life into a former industrial site through thoughtful regeneration.

The riverside setting plays a central role in the design. Many apartments benefit from direct water views, while all homes feature generous balconies, often extending across the full width of the building.

Architecture, landscape, and public spaces are seamlessly integrated to promote well-being, community, and a strong sense of place

Set within 17 hectares of protected natural landscape, Sabina represents one of Europe's most exclusive residential destinations. Chapman Taylor has completed a further delivery phase of the 170,000 m² luxury villa estate, where contemporary design sits harmoniously within the island's extraordinary natural setting. Working alongside internationally renowned architects, the development combines private residences with world-class hospitality and wellness facilities to create a truly unique Mediterranean lifestyle destination.

A unique collection of 50 luxury villas, a clubhouse, a restaurant, a wellness temple, a gym, a spa, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a theatre. The villas range in size from 510m² to more than 2,000m² and are carefully integrated into the surrounding landscape.

A low-density community that combines luxury homes, premium amenities and sustainable design to promote a connection to nature

At Trafford Wharf, Chapman Taylor is helping shape one of Manchester's most significant new waterside neighbourhoods. Shortlisted for a UK Planning Award, the £250 million mixed-use development will deliver Build-to-Rent homes, student accommodation, education facilities and extensive public spaces alongside the Manchester Ship Canal. Designed with placemaking at its heart, the 19,881 m²  project demonstrates how residential-led regeneration can create thriving, connected communities that bring lasting social and economic benefits.

The landmark development will transform the former Hilti office headquarters site into a new waterside neighbourhood, delivering 382 Build-to-Rent homes, 412 student bedrooms, and over 24,000 sq ft of academic teaching space.

A brownfield regeneration project that prioritises green public spaces, biodiversity and placemaking to create a healthier, more connected and sustainable community

Although each project responds to its own cultural, environmental and urban context, they share a common design philosophy: creating well-designed sustainable places that enhance everyday life. Whether delivering exclusive waterfront homes in Baku, regenerating former industrial land in Berlin, creating coastal communities in Albania, luxury villas in Ibiza or mixed-use neighbourhoods in Manchester, Chapman Taylor's residential portfolio demonstrates a commitment to good design, sustainability and placemaking.

Together, these six projects illustrate how architecture can do more than provide homes, it can create enduring communities that enrich the lives of residents while contributing positively to the cities and landscapes they inhabit.
