On 29 April, the international design competition for the landmark buildings and landscape concept of the Qiantang Bay Future Headquarters Core Area in Hangzhou was officially launched. The vision is to create a globally recognisable urban landmark blending international design excellence with regional cultural identity.
Chapman Taylor’s selected proposal, Group 3 – Fengbei TOD Commercial Complex, covers a 284,000m² site and includes office towers, hotel, retail, and public service functions. Speaking at the event, Director Chris Lanksbury highlighted the opportunity to not only apply Chapman Taylor’s global experience in commercial design but also address the exciting challenge of integrating international concepts with local context.
We are proud to be contributing to this visionary initiative and confident that our proposal will support Hangzhou’s ambition to become a hub of innovation, culture, and world-class urban development.
