Daniel has served as a Royal Navy Reservist for over 30 years and currently holds the rank of Commander. He is the Chief of Staff for the Royal Navy Reserve Training Organisation, overseeing a team of approximately 100 personnel responsible for delivering training to a force of around 3,000. His previous service includes time aboard Minewarfare vessels and a separate role as an Analyst. In 2009, he was mobilised to Afghanistan, where he served as an Information Operations Officer. Daniel is based at his local unit, HMS President, in London.

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick has recently completed his initial naval training with the Royal Navy Reserve and has been promoted to Sub-Lieutenant. This training included two weeks of sea time aboard an Offshore Patrol Vessel and leadership development at Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, culminating in a full-day interview and assessment. He now hopes to join the Submarine Operations branch and is based at HMS Cambria in Cardiff.

Daniel joined Chapman Taylor in 2017 as an Associate Director and works as a key member of our UK concept design team. A creative and innovative designer, he specialises in turning a client’s vision into a successful project.

Daniel has over 15 years’ experience as an architect in the UK and overseas, eight of these spent working in the luxury residential and hospitality sectors and on a number of sensitive urban and historical sites.

He also has experience in coordinating teams for large-scale mixed-use projects in the Middle East, Europe and CIS.

Patrick Dempsey (BSc (Hons))

Architectural Technologist

Patrick joined Chapman Taylor in 2025 as an Architectural Technologist in the Bristol Studio. Since then, he has been supporting the delivery of residential schemes in Baku White City, Azerbaijan.

Patrick has 5 years of experience in the technical delivery of residential schemes across England and Wales, and has a keen interest in detailing and Building Information Management (BIM).
