Chapman Taylor Group Board Director Marcelina Zielińska will speak at the ARCHICA 2026 International Architecture Congress, taking place on 5–6 October 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
ARCHICA is an established international platform bringing together architects, designers, developers, urban planners and other industry experts to exchange ideas around the future of architecture and urban development. Its first International Architectural Forum was held in 2015, and the platform has since welcomed more than 5,000 professionals, 495 speakers and participants from 35 countries.
The 2026 Astana congress will bring the international architecture and development community together for two days of discussion and knowledge sharing. The event forms part of ARCHICA’s renewed focus on Central Asia and the particular opportunities and challenges facing the region’s rapidly evolving cities.
This year’s central theme, “Creating Identity: Architecture, Art and the Emotional Experience of the Urban Environment,” will explore how contemporary cities can establish and strengthen distinctive identities while responding to rapid urban growth, investment, technological development and changing lifestyles.
Discussions will consider the importance of retaining local cultural character as cities evolve, and the role that architecture, urban design, art and placemaking can play in creating places that are meaningful to the people who live in them.
Marcelina will bring to the congress extensive international experience in masterplanning, mixed-use development, regeneration and placemaking, with a particular focus on creating people-centred places that respond sensitively to their cultural and physical context. Her participation also reflects Chapman Taylor’s growing involvement across Central Asia and the wider region.
ARCHICA has increasingly positioned its activities around architecture, urbanism and cultural production in Central Asia, including urban strategy, public space, placemaking and sustainable city development.
The congress takes place in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 5–6 October 2026.
