The second phase of the U Center project

The U•Center 2 office building, boasting an impressive Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of 35,000m², reached completion in August 2023. This comes two years after the completion of the first phase of the U•Center project which was finalised in the third quarter of 2021. Both developments have significantly strengthened the business community in the Tineretului area, transforming it into a vital business hub, contributing to the local economy and providing much-needed amenities for the community.

Responsibily designed

LEED v4 Platinum certification was awarded in 2024 with a score of 88 to U•Center 2 following a detailed evaluation against eight key criteria, including; location and transportation links, project sustainability, water efficiency, energy and climate efficiency, materials and resources used, indoor environmental quality, innovation, and regional priority.

Sustainability was the key driving force behind this project - from the concept design through to construction and delivery, and tenants wellbeing

Igor has completed several major workplace projects in Prague and Bucharest, as well as retail and leisure centres in Romania. He has extensive experience throughout all design stages and also as the client’s representative, monitoring design quality and making regular site inspections during the construction stages.

Igor joined Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio in the Czech Republic in 2000 and has been responsible for several of its key projects in the CEE region, primarily in Romania.
