A new vital city link

The Jinwan core area is primarily characterised as an office district for research, education, and manufacturing. The bridge serves as the vital link that seamlessly connects these various functions.

Design rooted in deep contextual analysis

Chapman Taylor's design concept for Cloud Bridge combines the region's history, culture, human dynamics, urban functionality, and architectural aesthetics. It weaves these elements together to create a bridge that serves as a functional conduit and embodies the spirit of Shanghai and the attraction of Jinwan.

Lighting design feature

One of the most interesting features of the Cloud Bridge design is its lighting system, which transforms the structure into a breathtaking night spectacle. Drawing inspiration from the beauty of the starry sky, the lighting design immerses visitors in an unforgettable nocturnal experience. Countless tiny points of light will flicker across the bridge deck and its surroundings, creating the illusion of traversing through the night sky.

Our design for Cloud Bridge represents a fusion of aesthetics, culture, and functionality, it is poised to become a transformative symbol in the vibrant landscape of Jinwan in Shanghai.
