The stunning digital display was created by Necsum Technology for Emotion to greet visitors to the centre and provides a visually immersive focal point, with content ranging from excerpts of well-known local films, 3D animation, digital art and interactive augmented reality.

The 60,000m² complex is located in the Torrecárdenas suburb on the perimeter of the city, next to the city’s hospital. Chapman Taylor’s design was inspired by the world of cinema, with a number of architectural and decorative touches on a movie theme.

Necsum was also responsible for creating and installing extraordinary digital displays at Chapman Taylor-designed shopping centres – SCCE’s Plaza Rio 2 and Klépierre’s Plenilunio, both in Madrid.

Plaza Rio 2 in Madrid

The interior of Plaza Rio 2 is a light-filled, double-height mall with a glazed skylight and an LED cloud to supplement the natural light, while digital LED displays are used to stunning effect throughout.

Among the 475m² of digital LED technology incorporated at Plenilunio are 10 large digital LED screens, four wayfinding screens, an interactive screen, 40 MUPI screens and a giant LED display on the cinema façade. Digital LED screens provide a dynamic focal point in the central atrium, with large LED columns and wraparound LED ribbons providing advertising and audiovisual displays which can be combined in a synchronized manner to create a dazzling attraction for customers.
