Michael Swiszczowski to speak about modular design and building technology at UK – CEE PropTech Forum on 23 March

Chapman Taylor Director Michael Swiszczowski will be joined by Matt Gawałkiewicz and Mikael Andersson from Polish off-site modular construction specialists Polcom Group to discuss “Umbrellahaus® – the future of modular building” at the UK – CEE PropTech Forum on Tuesday 23 March.

The UK – CEE PropTech Forum, organised by the UK Department of International Trade in cooperation with the British Embassies in Central Europe, aims to foster dialogue between property industry figures in the Central European region and the UK.

This online session will look at technological and design solutions developed and implemented by British firms and how they can be applied in Central European markets, as well as vice versa.

Michael, Matt and Mikael will discuss Chapman Taylor’s Umbrellahaus® modular residential concept and its potential application to provide much-needed, affordable and flexible homes, of varying sizes and types, at scale and speed in the UK and the CEE region, as well as internationally. The concept is also applicable in the hotel sector, providing operators with a future-proofed and easily adaptable hotel format.

Michael’s involvement in the completion of Chapman Taylor’s first fully modular building project, the award-winning Holiday Inn Express container hotel in Manchester, led to Michael to playing a key role in developing Chapman Taylor’s Umbrellahaus® model. He is helping to lead the expansion of our modular portfolio across the United Kingdom and internationally.
