Join us at the Revo Conference on 27th September in London

Several senior Chapman Taylor delegates are attending the Completely Retail Marketplace & Revo Conference on 27th September at 1 Old Billingsgate Walk, London. We also have a speaking session about ‘Creating Vibrant Town Centres’, with senior architect Jonathan Jones.

Jonathan has expertise in the role of retail in mixed-use developments and the reconfiguration of existing retail places. He will be talking about how we can reposition assets to be relevant in the context of the cities in which they are located, including case studies.

Also attending the conference are directors Adrian Griffiths and Nick Thursby, associate directors Daniel Morgans and Loretta Collins and senior architect Teresa Tirado.

Revo supports the interests and values of the whole retail, leisure and placemaking real estate community and is the forum for its members to network, share experience, provoke thinking and lead the evolution of the built environment. Revo runs a series of events seminars and conferences both online and in person to enable members to expand their knowledge, debate topical issues and network.

Adrian Griffiths (BA (Hons) Dip Arch RIBA MA Urban Design FRSA)

Group Board Director, UK

Adrian joined Chapman Taylor in 1986 and was promoted to the Group Board in 1998. As an architect and urban design specialist, he is recognised internationally for his expertise in the masterplanning of major complex mixed-use developments which are key drivers in the regeneration of our town and city centres.

Adrian is conscious of the fact that the developments we build today create the societies of tomorrow, recognising the responsibility the profession has in influencing the quality of people’s lives. He regularly speaks at conferences and prepares papers which promote the benefits of mixed-use developments as a sustainable model for the long term. Adrian leads the Concept Design Team in the UK.

Nick Thursby (BA (Hons) Dip Arch RIBA)

Director, UK

Nick joined Chapman Taylor’s London studio in 1999 and has over 20 years’ experience spanning all project stages. He has particular expertise in the concept design and masterplanning of schemes through to their detailed design, particularly on large-scale projects at the heart of many of the UK’s major cities.

Nick was jointly responsible for establishing Chapman Taylor’s Bristol studio in 2012 and, as a UK Board Director, he is responsible for the ongoing business development and management of this part of the UK business.

He believes it is crucial to the long-term success of Chapman Taylor to nurture and mentor the creativity and talent in our studios.

Nick joined Chapman Taylor’s London studio in 1999 and worked on the award-winning Princesshay, Exeter scheme before joining the UK concept design team.

He was jointly responsible for establishing Chapman Taylor’s Bristol studio in 2013 and as a UK Board Director is now responsible for the ongoing development and management of this part of the UK business. Nick also leads Chapman Taylor’s Sustainability Group responsible for researching best-practice environmental design initiatives and innovation.

He has 20 years’ experience spanning all project stages.

Daniel Morgans (BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA)

Associate Director, UK

Daniel joined Chapman Taylor in 2017 as an Associate Director and works as a key member of our UK concept design team. A creative and innovative designer, he specialises in turning a client’s vision into a successful project.

Daniel has over 15 years’ experience as an architect in the UK and overseas, eight of these spent working in the luxury residential and hospitality sectors and on a number of sensitive urban and historical sites.

He also has experience in coordinating teams for large-scale mixed-use projects in the Middle East, Europe and CIS.

Loretta Collins (BA (Hons) DipArch MArch RIBA )

Associate Director, UK

Loretta joined Chapman Taylor in 2015 and works on the concept design stages of mixed-use, office, retail, urban regeneration, and asset enhancement projects both in the UK and Internationally.

Loretta is a key member of our Responsible Design Group’s knowledge expert team with a focus on Community and Social values. She is also an active member of Women in Property in the North West UK-branch where she regularly participates in events and study tours.

Loretta’s design experience crosses a variety of sectors including mixed-use town centre regeneration projects where her ability to use a variety of design-based and CAD software tools enables her to successfully manage and coordinate complex design projects.

Jonathan Jones (BEng (Hons) MArch)

Senior Architect, UK

Jonathan joined Chapman Taylor in Bristol in 2013 as one of the first Architectural Assistants in the Bristol studio. Since then, he has been involved in various projects and masterplans across the UK and internationally. He is currently overseeing schemes in the South West of England, with a particular focus on residential and mixed-use design.

Jonathan is particularly skilled in the concept design and feasibility stages of mixed-use proposals. His freehand drawings and concept designs have been extremely valuable in developing the studio’s capabilities.
