Hendrik Wirths to speak at CineHamburg 2026 on the future of cinema design

Chapman Taylor Director Hendrik Wirths will speak at CineHamburg 2026 on the 8th of July, sharing insights into the future of cinema design as part of the workshop "Beyond the Screen – Rethinking the Cinema Experience Before and After the Film."

The workshop will explore how cinemas can evolve into vibrant destinations that offer much more than film screenings. As digital transformation and changing leisure habits reshape audience expectations, the discussion will focus on how architecture, interior design, hospitality and placemaking can create compelling environments that encourage visitors to spend more time in cinemas before and after a film.

Hendrik will examine the role of design in transforming cinemas into social and cultural destinations, with a particular emphasis on the importance of foyer spaces.
