W Hotel in Prague wins Hotel & Leisure Development of the Year at the annual CEEQA 2025 awards
Chapman Taylor is proud to announce that W Hotel Prague, developed by Ferid Nasir in collaboration with Marriott International, has won the Hotel & Leisure Development of the Year at the 2025 CEEQA Awards. Our Prague studio was a key member of the design team, leading the sensitive renovation of the hotel’s historic heritage areas.
The prestigious CEEQA Awards celebrate excellence in commercial real estate investment and development across Central and Eastern Europe and Southeast Europe. This year’s winners were unveiled at a gala event on 21 May 2025, held at the Wyscigi racecourse in Warsaw, Poland. Now in its 20th year, CEEQA is recognised as the leading awards programme in the region, bringing together over 700 industry professionals to honour outstanding contributions to the built environment.
W Hotel Prague reimagines the former Grand Hotel Evropa, an iconic Art Nouveau landmark dating back to 1905, into a contemporary lifestyle destination. The hotel now features 161 luxurious guestrooms and suites, the signature W Lounge, a rooftop bar with panoramic city views, and a revived Grand Café hosting Le Petit Beefbar by Riccardo Giraudi.
Chapman Taylor’s renovation of the hotel’s heritage interiors was guided by the central motif of the “elixir”—a golden thread symbolising timelessness and transformation. This design narrative runs throughout the interiors, from the restored façade to the bespoke furniture and communal spaces, blending historical elegance with modern vibrancy.
We are honoured that W Hotel Prague has been recognised at CEEQA 2025, and we congratulate our client, collaborators, and the entire project team on this outstanding achievement.
