Sun Plaza opens in Bucharest

Sun Plaza in Bucharest opened its doors on 4th February 2010 to critical acclaim from the public and property professionals alike.

The 80,000m2 shopping and leisure project was delivered as a collaborative effort by 3 of Chapman Taylor’s offices. The concept design was done by Chapman Taylor Madrid, providing the Latin flare required by the client, with the design management, scheme design and tender drawings being prepared by Chapman Taylor Prague. Drawing reviews and site inspections were carried out by Chapman Taylor Bucharest.

The project is characterised by a feature floating roof and three main plazas. One of the largest shopping centres in Bucharest, Sun Plaza serves the south of the city and is served by trams, metro and 2000 parking spaces.
