Construction entering the final stages at Zhangjiang IC Design Industrial Park Block 2B-6 in Shanghai
Construction continues to advance swiftly at Zhangjiang IC Design Industrial Park Block 2B-6 in Shanghai, a key workplace-led, mixed-use development designed by Chapman Taylor following a winning competition entry. The main structural framework of the three towers has now been completed, and work on the steel structure of the connecting verandah is progressing at pace.
The tower curtain wall installation is progressing steadily across all towers: Tower A’s south façade has now reached the 15th floor, Tower B’s north façade has reached the 10th floor, and Tower C’s south, north and west façades have all reached the 12th floor. The project team anticipates completing all tower curtain wall unit installation by year-end.
Designed as an innovative ecological community that supports co-governance and collaboration, the park unfolds west to east across eight unique and interconnected spaces: Zhangjiang Eye, Tianmu Street, Pandora Garden, Liuyun Terrace, Variety Atrium, Xingchen Square, Roof Paradise and Time Passage.
The architectural vision embraces simplicity and unity, with a contemporary exterior that combines sculpted forms and textured materials. Concave and convex façade treatments visually elevate building volumes and link functional blocks seamlessly, while green rooftops, generous daylighting and landscaped outdoor terraces foster a strong connection to the environment.
