During the "New Encounters, New Ecosystems" roundtable, Johnny shared Chapman Taylor's perspective on creating building service ecosystems that place people at the centre of design. He explained that successful developments must be conceived across both space and time, transforming public areas into vibrant community hubs that encourage interaction while ensuring buildings remain active and responsive throughout the day to support diverse working patterns and lifestyles.

Johnny highlighted the industry's shift from delivering physical space to creating environments that support long-term operational success. As the real estate sector transitions from expansion to the optimisation of existing assets, he emphasised that the value of design lies not only in shaping buildings, but in enabling future operational ecosystems, adaptable uses and meaningful human experiences.
