Chapman Taylor completes further delivery phases of Sabina Luxury Villa Estate in Ibiza
Chapman Taylor has successfully completed the delivery of Phases 2 and 3 of Sabina, Ibiza's pioneering ecologically inspired private villa estate, marking another important milestone in the development of one of the Mediterranean's most exclusive residential destinations.
Located on the island's western coast within 17 hectares of protected natural landscape, Sabina is a unique collection of 50 luxury villas designed by an international roster of renowned architects. The development combines the privacy and exclusivity of individual residences with the exceptional amenities and services typically associated with a five-star luxury resort.
Sabina brings together an exceptional collection of internationally acclaimed architects, including Sir David Chipperfield, John Pawson, Manuel Aires Mateus and Marcio Kogan. Each villa has been individually designed to respond to Ibiza's landscape and character, creating a unique architectural community united by a commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and understated luxury.
Sabina has been conceived as a residential and hospitality hybrid, offering homeowners the opportunity to enjoy the comfort of a private villa alongside a comprehensive range of premium services and leisure facilities. Residents have access to a five-star clubhouse, wellness temple, gym, spa, swimming pool, tennis courts, theatre and restaurant, creating a world-class lifestyle destination in one of Europe's most sought-after locations.
The villas range in size from 510m² to more than 2,000m² and are carefully integrated into the surrounding landscape, taking advantage of spectacular views across the Mediterranean Sea and Ibiza's countryside. Interior spaces have been designed to reflect the island's natural character, incorporating raw timber furnishings, linen textiles and other authentic materials such as straw and rattan to create warm, contemporary living environments that respond sensitively to their setting.
Sustainability has been a defining principle throughout the development. Sabina incorporates innovative environmental technologies including water recycling systems and ground-source energy solutions, while the wider estate has been designed to minimise its impact on the surrounding landscape. The development is pursuing BREEAM accreditation in recognition of its commitment to environmentally responsible construction and long-term sustainability.
Chapman Taylor was appointed as Executive Architect for the project, overseeing the detailed design development and coordination of the technical design throughout the construction process. Drawing on the practice's extensive BIM expertise, the team has played a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this highly complex and design-led development.
