Alcora Plaza shopping centre approaching completion in Alcorcón, Spain

Construction is nearly complete at the Alcora Plaza shopping centre in the Spanish city of Alcorcón, with an opening date set for Thursday 15 October.

Located on the site of an old IKEA warehouse, the Alcora Plaza shopping centre will bring top fashion and home decoration brands to the city of Alcorcón (and to Spain) for the first time.

The 22,000m² development will be a key element of the wider Parque West estate, with each of the new units occupying spaces of 3,000 – 4,000m2.

Three separate buildings will host additional dining and leisure options, with construction of these also well advanced and due to complete in early November.

Chapman Taylor designed this new shopping destination on behalf of developer Inmoamura. The scheme is expected to create up to 400 jobs for the city.

He is responsible for the Madrid studio’s Technical Group and oversees our Continuous Professional Development Programme. 

With more than 25 years’ professional experience, Carlo specialises in construction site supervision and coordination. He has a proven track-record with the construction of many commercial buildings in Spain and Portugal.

Carlo entró a formar parte de la oficina de Chapman Taylor en Madrid en noviembre de 2001. Es un arquitecto con más de 25 años de experiencia especialmente liderando la supervisión y coordinación de las obras. Ha dirigido la construcción de muchos edificios comerciales en España y Portugal. Fue ascendido a Director Asociado en 2006.

Dentro de la organización de la oficina en Madrid, Carlo es responsable de la Formación Continua del Personal y tiene un papel importante dentro el Comité técnico.
