Architect - Project Lead (London)

We have an exciting opportunity for an ARB-registered Architect to join our busy flagship studio in London and to develop your career in a well-structured, supportive environment. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious, design-led individual who has completed Part III. You will enjoy working as part of a team and excellent communication skills are essential.

  • Manage planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
  • Contribute to project briefs and work on these as the project progresses
  • Prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and/or REVIT, as well as traditional drawing methods
  • Lead the design process through all stages and co-ordinate design information
  • Advise clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking
  • Produce detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used
  • Carry out design-stage risk assessments

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a qualified ARB registered architect
  • Must demonstrate experience in similar roles and with relevant project experience
  • Experience of working on large-scale, complex projects
  • Experience of workplace design is a must
  • All-rounder with technical proficiency and experience of developing early-stage designs through to construction information on medium to large-scale projects
  • Commitment to developing high-quality design information with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to present and communicate design ideas and concepts
  • Detailed working knowledge of Autodesk Revit through all workstages.
  • Graphic design presentation skills, including knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp etc., would be beneficial
  • Ability to liaise with other consultants and construction professionals, to create technical solutions and resolve client and contractor queries
  • Detailed working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British and industry standards.
  • A team player with strong communication and leadership skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team in a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines and effectively manage your time
  • Takes ownership of tasks and duties
