Large-scale residential masterplanning in a waterside setting
Built in phases, the former Holesovice Port in Prague provides a range of residential buildings and service facilities over a 16.5 hectare site.
Residential and supporting amenities
The masterplan includes 1,000 residential units, a private marina plus cafés and restaurants. The initial phase comprised three residential buildings, with 340 apartments overlooking the port basin.
Residential design approach
The design of the residential building by Chapman Taylor respects the scale and materiality of the adjacent historic port buildings, and frames the main pedestrian approach to the port basin area. The plan follows the meander of the Vltava river. Two further blocks, designed by ADNS Architekti, cantilever over the water’s edge.
Chapman Taylor designed the masterplan and the largest residential building components.
