Successful public consultation event for The Trilogy Build-to-Rent (BtR) scheme in Ellesmere Street, Manchester
On the evening of 23 July, Chapman Taylor, alongside Lichfields and Allsop, hosted a public consultation event for The Trilogy Build-to-Rent (BtR) scheme in Ellesmere Street, Manchester, engaging with local residents, ward members and councillors to share and discuss plans for the development’s next chapter.
The event focused on proposals to significantly enhance resident amenity provision, with exciting new features aimed at further enriching the BtR living experience. The proposals include a new co-working hub, gym, multi-purpose studio, private dining area, wellness zone, outdoor work-from-home booths, and a dedicated pet-washing station complete with an agility zone.
Drawing on Chapman Taylor’s extensive BtR experience—gained through the design and delivery of leading schemes across the UK, as well as our role as strategic Design Advisors for The Association for Rental Living (ARL)—the plans reflect emerging trends and resident expectations in the sector.
Consultation boards will remain on display throughout the week, and feedback forms are available for residents who wish to share their thoughts and suggestions.
“The Trilogy is a well-renowned Build-to-Rent, first-generation development. Our goal, together with the multiple stakeholders, is to reposition the Trilogy in response to the rapidly maturing and ever-evolving BtR market. To achieve this, we have designed new, enhanced amenity spaces with a strong focus on community and wellbeing - spaces which will provide greater flexibility for current residents and future generations,” said Michael Swiszczowski, Group Board Director at Chapman Taylor.
A planning application is targeted for submission in September 2025.
