The Springs Souk neighbourhood cinema opens in Dubai

A new six-screen cinema, designed by Chapman Taylor for Reel Cinemas, opened at The Springs Souk in Dubai on Sunday 2 September.

The cinema development was commissioned by Emaar Entertainment to complement the retail and leisure options at Emaar’s new neighbourhood-style shopping centre, Springs Souk, which itself opened in May.

The scheme serves a well-established residential community and offers a children’s cinema with smaller seats and an adjacent party room. The other screens all use digital projection and Dolby sound, while LED displays are used throughout the complex.

Chapman Taylor acted as Lead Consultant on this project, overseeing the Architecture, Interiors, Structural Engineering, MEP, FLS, Acoustics and Specialist Lighting.
