Reimagined Náměstí Republiky 7 building officially opens in Prague
The reimagined Náměstí Republiky 7 (NR7) building in the heart of Prague has officially opened, marking the completion of a major transformation of one of the city’s most prominent historic properties. The project introduces a flagship flexible workspace destination for Scott.Weber Workspace, following a €39.8 million renovation of the heritage-protected, eight-storey neoclassical building originally constructed in 1905.
A press conference was held on Tuesday 27 January 2026 within the newly opened flexible workspaces, bringing together key partners, industry figures and media.
The event was hosted by Adam Zvada, Founder and CEO of Scott.Weber Workspace. Among the speakers was Filip Pokorný, Director at Chapman Taylor, who discussed the role of design in shaping the future of flexible workspaces and the evolving demands of the office market.
Design concept
Designed by Chapman Taylor, the project delivers a contemporary workplace concept that carefully balances the building’s historic character with the requirements of a cutting-edge office environment. The 4,630 m² scheme includes 90 private offices, 17 meeting rooms, an indoor atrium, roof terraces and a conservatory, alongside four event halls, the largest accommodating up to 130 guests.
Original architectural features such as wrought iron railings and mirrored walls have been preserved and celebrated, while modern interventions introduce flexibility, natural light and collaborative spaces.
Filip Pokorný said: “We sought to balance the preservation of the building’s heritage with the integration of cutting-edge workspace design. Our goal was to create a productive and inspiring environment that reflects how and why companies are increasingly choosing flexibility.”
Design concept
Developed in partnership with CRESTYL Group and supported by OM Consulting, the project reflects Scott.Weber Workspace’s plans to expand further into Prague’s city centre while redefining what a premium, five-star workspace can offer. The opening event focused not only on space, but on data, market direction and the future of flexible offices.
Náměstí Republiky 7 now stands as a new landmark workplace, demonstrating how thoughtful design can breathe new life into historic buildings while responding to contemporary ways of working.
