Phase one of Bangkok’s British Club on course for October completion

Construction on the first phase of The British Club in Bangkok is progressing well, with phase one set to complete in October 2018.

Set in the centre of Thailand's buzzing capital city, The British Club is an exclusive members-only club. The 3,000m² project is hospitality and leisure-based, aimed at young families.

Phase one will include international-standard squash courts, a kids’ pool, a playground, an outdoor pool bar and dining area, offices and other leisure amenities.

Work on phase two will follow, introducing a feature cantilevered fitness suite, a restaurant, a swimming pool and a sun deck, with the entire project set to be finished in 2019.

Chapman Taylor's competition-winning design is inspired by the Union flag, with its unique geometry ‘draped’ over the club building. A series of bold, prefabricated architectural elements have been proposed for application to the façade, being both practical and aesthetically interesting.

The British Club is a symbol of strong and long-standing relations between the United Kingdom and Thailand, and our design aims to help see it continue in that function for many years to come.
