Peter Farmer to speak about future airport design at 4 Design Days event in Katowice, Poland on 6 February

Transportation Director Peter Farmer will be speaking about the way forward for airport design at the 4 Design Days architecture conference, which takes place from 6 – 9 February in Katowice, Poland.

Peter will be one of a group of selected international architects and designers speaking on the subject of designing the airports of the future, with an emphasis on how best to integrate them within their surrounding contexts. Peter’s will be drawing on his extensive experience and research in the aviation sector, with particular reference to our design for Solidarity Transport Hub near Warsaw.

The session at which Peter will speak will take place from 2pm to 3.30pm on Thursday 6 February.

The 4 Design Days event, now in its fifth year, brings together 10,000 professionals and 25,000 design enthusiasts from Poland and abroad to showcase and discuss the latest design thinking and products. Two of the four days are dedicated to industry professionals, including architects, designers, investors, developers and local authorities.

Chapman Taylor is highly experienced in the design of airports, aviation infrastructure and related commercial areas, and in optimising the integration of airports within their wider contexts. We have designed and delivered transport-orientated projects at some of the most famous passenger hubs in the world – including new-build transport infrastructure, retail and F&B areas, concourse design, passenger flow planning and refurbishments.

Our expertise, combined with our work at other transport hubs, means that we understand the functional and commercial requirements of airports, including their future-proofing, as well as being at the cutting edge of research and thinking about how to turn them into flexible and commercially successful destinations in their own right.
