Our latest Muvi cinema developments open to moviegoers in Saudi Arabia

Two more Chapman Taylor-designed Muvi cinemas have opened to the public in Saudi Arabia.

Muvi Jubail cinema has opened to moviegoers in the eastern Saudi city of Jubail.

The new five-screen cinema is the latest in the ongoing roll-out of cinema developments for the Muvi brand across the country.

Meanwhile, an 8-screen Muvi Cinema has opened at Al Ahsa Mall, also in eastern Saudi Arabia. This cinema includes the Xperience large format cinema.

The cutting-edge design for both cinema complexes have a theme of urban downtown, with the intention of creating a dynamic, modern and innovative cinema experience. Internal spaces are characterised by an industrial, yet luxurious, material palette, including timber, exposed steelwork, exposed brickwork and an exposed concrete floor.

In 2019, Chapman Taylor was engaged by Arabian Developments to design and deliver a series of state-of-the art cinemas for their Muvi Cinemas brand, the first Saudi-owned cinema chain. Muvi Cinemas’ plan is to have 20 cinemas opened by early 2021.
