New asset enhancement plans for Huma World, Sankt Augustin, Germany

New designs by Chapman Taylor’s Düsseldorf studio introduce a new 9,000 m2 innovative outlet concept to the existing Huma World shopping centre, in Sankt Augustin, within the Cologne/Bonn region of Germany. The studio is also restructuring other tenant areas within the centre, including a supermarket, and is acting as the overall consultant for the "look and feel" concept.

For more than 40 years, Huma World has attracted more than 5 million visitors a year, providing a wide range of shops and a modern shopping experience.

Huma Outlet will stand out visually and conceptually from the other areas of the shopping centre, having its own floor with high-quality shop fronts in an industrial, contemporary style. The other two levels will also be given a fresh new look to aid orientation and to visually distinguish the outlet floor.

The exterior façade of Huma World will draw visitors‘ attention to the outlet through the use of strong advertising motifs and an eye-catching colour scheme. Special signage concepts, illuminated lettering and innovative design elements throughout the shopping centre and even in the car parks, will guide the shoppers to the urban outlet level.

With its distinctive shop front concept and design elements with an industrial character, a contrasting darker colour scheme and eye-catching plant and light installations, the outlet will achieve outstanding visibility from all levels and radiate a special, modern atmosphere. An integrated food court, cosy lounging zones, ‘insta-points’ and pop-up areas will round off the attractive facilities.

In addition to the food court, Huma Outlet will offer a mix of fashion, sportswear, outdoor, footwear and lifestyle brands, ensuring a varied shopping and gastronomic experience. Potential tenants have the opportunity to become part of the bespoke outlet concept with spaces available from 50 m2 and a total of approximately 40 rental units.
