Ruprecht Melder (Dipl Ing Architekt (Univ))

Group Board Director, Düsseldorf

Ruprecht is responsible for leading the design and delivery of major workplace, retail, and mixed-use projects in our Düsseldorf studio.

He has established the role of 'General Planner' within the Düsseldorf studio and has successfully led General Planner teams on several large-scale projects and is dedicated to delivering high-quality architecture to our clients.

Ruprecht joined Chapman Taylor in 1995. After joining the Düsseldorf management board as a Prokurist in 2008, he became joint Managing Director in 2013 to support the growth of our German business and continues to oversee project work in Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia. He joined the Group Board in 2021.

Ruprecht ist seit 1995 bei Chapman Taylor und ist verantwortlich für die Konzeption und Durchführung von Einzelhandels-, Büro- und Mixed-Use-Projekten in unserem Büro in Düsseldorf.

Im Jahr 2008 wurde Ruprecht Melder als Prokurist Teil der Geschäftsführung und ist seit 2013 als Geschäftsführer für die Leitung und die Entwicklung des Düsseldorfer Standortes zuständig. 2021 wurde er in den Vorstand von Chapman Taylor berufen.

Ein weiterer Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt ist die des Generalplaners. Diesen Aufgabenbereich hat Ruprecht im deutschen Büro etabliert und hat sich als Leiter von Generalplanungs-Teams bei Großprojekten erfolgreich bewährt.

Hendrik Wirths

Director, Düsseldorf

Hendrik specialises in problem-solving throughout the planning and construction process, from the initial concept design through to all levels of planning and development, specification, bidding, site supervision and final acceptance.

He is passionate about the need to foster collaborative working relationships between all of the parties involved in order to successfully complete a project.

Hendrik finished his studies at Cologne University of Applied Sciences in 1998, becoming a qualified architect in 2001 and subsequently working in Lisbon, Bolzano and Cologne. Hendrik joined the Düsseldorf studio in 2017.

Hendrik Wirths arbeitet seit 2017 als Projektleiter bei Chapman Taylor in Düsseldorf. Aktuell ist er für den Neubau eines Bürogebäudeensembles in Nürnberg sowie für Wohnungsbauprojekte mit insgesamt 350 Wohneinheiten verantwortlich.

Nach Beendigung seines Studiums sammelte er in Lissabon, Bozen und Köln umfangreiche Erfahrungen bei der Planung und Realisierung unterschiedlichster Bauaufgaben. Von der ersten Konzeptskizze bis zur Übergabe nach Fertigstellung arbeitete er dabei im gesamten Leistungsbild der HOAI.

Neben dem Schwerpunkt Wohnungsbau realisierte er Neu- und Umbauprojekte aus den Bereichen Büro, Handel und Kinderbetreuungseinrichtungen.

Kai Felix Dorl (AKNW Dipl. – Ing. (FH))

Senior Architect, Düsseldorf

Kai Felix Dorl has worked at Chapman Taylor in Düsseldorf since 2020 and was promoted to Associate Director in 2026. He has over 20 years of experience, most of which he gained in other European countries outside of Germany.

He worked for many years as a project architect in several internationally renowned offices, including Massimiliano Fuksas in Rome, focusing on design development through to implementation planning. His creative sense and excellent technical understanding helped him successfully bring initial conceptual design ideas to life.

Felix is passionate about sustainable design, particularly in connection with timber construction.

Kai Felix Dorl ist seit 2020 bei Chapman Taylor in Düsseldorf tätig. Seine über 20-jährige Erfahrung sammelte er zu einem großen Teil im europäischen Ausland.

Dabei arbeitete er viele Jahre in international renommierten Büros in der Projektleitung für verschiedenste Großprojekte mit den Schwerpunkten der Entwurfsentwicklung bis zur Ausführungsplanung. Sein gestalterisches Gespür zusammen mit seinem ausgeprägten technischen Verständnis garantieren die Verwirklichung des ersten konzeptionellen Entwurfsgedankens.

Bei Chapman Taylor liegt ein Fokus seiner Tätigkeit in der nachhaltigen Gestaltung in Verbindung mit Holzbaukonstruktionen.

Jon Hale (BA (Hons) Dip Arch ARB ČKA)

Group Board Director, Prague

Jon heads up Chapman Taylor's business in the Central Eastern Europe (CEE) region, leading on the design and implementation of projects in the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia.

Based in Prague since 1991, Jon joined Chapman Taylor in London in 1997 and was invited to the Group Board in 2020. His knowledge of the CEE markets and his leadership have helped our Prague studio become one of the foremost architects of commercial buildings in the region. The Prague team is dedicated to delivering high-quality architecture to clients in the CEE region with a strong emphasis on delivering sustainable and commercially successful projects that people enjoy.

Filip Pokorný (PhD (Urban Planning and Brownfield Regeneration))

Director, Prague and Warsaw

Filip is responsible for the management of our key projects in Prague. He has strong retail design skills, as well as specialist design skills in planning and regeneration.

Balancing commercial and architectural insights, he has worked across all project stages, from feasibility, planning and building permitting processes through to on-site construction quality control.

Filip has been with Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio since 2007.

Jan Pokorny (Ing Arch)

Associate Director, Prague

Jan has extensive design experience and has worked on many projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

His primary strength is in conceptual design and development, and he is able to use his excellent free-hand sketching and rendering skills to great effect.

Jan joined Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio in 2004 and was promoted to Associate Director in 2017.
