Hotel Indigo in Coventry celebrates topping out

Hotel Indigo in Coventry celebrated its topping-out ceremony on 20th April 2023. The event marked a significant milestone in the construction of the project, which is due to open in late 2023. The architecture and interiors for this upscale boutique hotel are designed by Chapman Taylor.

The topping-out ceremony was attended by representatives from Castlebridge Group, and Hotel Indigo, along with other key stakeholders.

The new 4-star Hotel Indigo Coventry will feature 101 guest rooms, a 40-cover bar, flexible private dining/meeting rooms, a mini-gym, a guest lounge, and a 100-cover fine dining restaurant. Chapman Taylor's designs for the hotel have been crafted to reflect Coventry's rich industrial heritage, while also providing guests with a contemporary and luxurious experience.

"We are delighted to have reached this important milestone in the construction of the Hotel Indigo Coventry," said Chapman Taylor Director Michael Swiszczowski. "Our designs for the hotel are a celebration of Coventry's past, present, and future, and we are confident that it will become a leading destination in the city."

The hotel is being developed by Castlebridge Group, a property company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, sustainable developments across the UK.

Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel brand that is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The brand is known for its unique design, personalized service, and locally inspired experiences.

The new Hotel Indigo Coventry is located in the heart of the city, opposite the Council’s new headquarters, which together form part of the wider Friargate business district masterplan, funded by a joint venture between Coventry City Council and Friargate LLP. The masterplan is a new entry point to the city from Coventry train station including the extended Greyfriars Green Park. It is expected to create new jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the area.
