Chapman Taylor’s Jorge Alonso appointed as a Mentor for the CITIES FORUM International Mentoring Programme for Urban Planners
We are proud to share that Chapman Taylor Architect and Planner Jorge Alonso, from our Madrid Studio, has been selected, interviewed, and appointed as a Mentor for the CITIES FORUM International Mentoring Programme for Urban Planners.
This prestigious initiative brings together leading professionals from around the world to mentor and inspire the next generation of urban planners. Designed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, the programme supports early- and mid-career urbanists seeking global exposure, structured guidance, and strategic career development.
As one of a select group of 100 international mentors, Jorge will share his experience in urban planning, sustainable development, and design innovation, helping participants define their career paths and strengthen their professional networks across borders.
Through personalised one-to-one mentoring sessions, global live events, and a three-day technical visit to Madrid in collaboration with COAM (Madrid Association of Architects), the programme connects mentees with experts shaping the cities of tomorrow.
Jorge’s appointment reflects both his individual expertise and Chapman Taylor’s international leadership in urban design and placemaking, with the practice’s portfolio of projects spanning Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
