Chapman Taylor’s interiors revealed at Vanke 2049 launch in Shanghai

The new retail and leisure destination Vanke 2049 Zhangjiang New Park in Shangahi has officially opened its doors to the public. Chapman Taylor’s Shanghai team have remodelled the interiors for the project which will revitalise the area of Zhangjiang.

The project is a community shopping mall housing a supermarket, cafes, retail units, children’s entertainment and restaurants. Community shopping centres are a growing typology in China. Based within residential communities these malls tend to be small scale, family orientated malls intended for use by the immediate community.

A number of high profile leaders for the region were in attendance at the launch, which saw live bands playing and scooter dancing.
