Chapman Taylor’s Alexander Esfahani to join panel at PropTech Connect Europe 2026
Chapman Taylor Associate Director and Global Head of Sustainability Alexander Esfahani will join a panel discussion at PropTech Connect Europe 2026, taking place at InterContinental London – The O2 on 9–10 September.
Alexander will participate in the session “Refit, Reform, & Refurbish: Planning for Flexibility”, taking place on the Developer Stage from 15:35–16:15 on Wednesday 9 September.
The discussion will explore the growing importance of flexibility within the built environment and how existing buildings can be adapted, refurbished and repositioned to respond to changing occupier requirements, environmental priorities and long-term market needs.
The subject closely aligns with Chapman Taylor’s approach to adaptive reuse and responsible design, which considers how existing buildings and places can be transformed to extend their useful life, reduce the need for demolition and create more resilient, adaptable assets.
As Chapman Taylor’s Global Head of Sustainability, Alexander leads our approach to responsible design and works across sectors and international studios to embed sustainability in the design process. He brings particular insight into the opportunities presented by retrofit, refurbishment and the creative reuse of existing buildings.
Other panellists include:
- Henrik Ahnström - Group Director of Sustainability & Innovation - Skanska
- Lina Wiles - Chief Sustainability Officer - Adapteo
- Dave Erasmus - Director of Innovation - Copperstone Projects (Moderator)
- Ana Araujo - Partner - Buro Happold

The conference brings together property owners, developers, occupiers and asset managers with technology companies, service providers and investors.
The organisers expect the 2026 event to welcome more than 6,000 attendees from over 2,500 companies, with approximately 400 speakers across nine stages, creating a major forum for discussion around innovation and the future of the real-estate industry.
