Chapman Taylor wins design competition for mixed-use development at Jinan Changqing in China

Chapman Taylor has won a design competition for a mixed-use commercial scheme at Jinan Changqing World Trade Plaza in China.

The competition, run by Shanghai World Trade Commercial Investment Management Company, sought concept designs for a 51,000m2 site at the World Trade Plaza development which is intended to host a lively commercial focal point for Jinan City’s Chanqing district.

Located at the busy crossroad of Qinghe Street and Fenghuang Road, the project includes shopping centres, commercial blocks and a small office building. The development will create a landmark commercial centre, serving the rapidly developing city and the wider region.

The new scheme will create the first large-scale commercial complex to be built in the district, designed to be its retail, leisure and entertainment heart.
