Chapman Taylor to speak at Warsaw Data Centre Development conference on 27 May

Chapman Taylor will join industry leaders at the upcoming Warsaw Data Centre Development Conference, taking place on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, at the British Embassy, Kawalerii 12, Warsaw.

Themed “Building Resilient Data Centres: Integrating Engineering Excellence, Environmental Responsibility, Legal Compliance and Smart Design”, the event will focus on the rapid evolution of the data centre sector—driven by digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and increasing global connectivity.

Director Rafał Giersz and Associate Director Witold Nowakowski will speak from 10:50 to 11:05 on “Architectural Challenges of Data Centres”. Their presentation will explore how architectural design can respond to the complex demands of resilience, operational efficiency, and sustainability in an increasingly data-dependent world.

The conference will bring together a diverse audience of stakeholders, including data centre developers and operators, construction firms, government representatives, utility providers, and tech investors.

Rafal Giersz

Director, Warsaw

Rafal has worked on several major retail-led projects, using his excellent retail design knowledge to enhance schemes. He has also been involved in developing our business in the retail and leisure sectors.

He joined Chapman Taylor's London studio in December 2006, transferring to the Warsaw studio, in Poland, in April 2007, where he became Director in 2020.

Rafal is focused on using his skills to strengthen the Warsaw studio’s capabilities in producing world-class architectural design.

Witold Nowakowski

Associate Director, Warsaw

Witold is responsible for overseeing implementation of our BIM strategy at our Warsaw studio and is an RICS-qualified BIM Manager.

He joined Chapman Taylor’s Warsaw studio in 2008 and became an Associate Director in 2011. He has an established track record in the design of major retail, hospitality and residential projects in Poland.

Witold has also undertaken the BREEAM Assessors' training course and is a BREEAM International Assessor. He speaks Polish, English, French and Russian.
