Chapman Taylor to speak about Atvero Project Information Management system at Glimpse of the Future Webinar on 9 July

Digital Transformation

Chapman Taylor Director Andy Hudson and Senior Information Manager Stephen Higgon will be speaking about using Microsoft SharePoint in conjunction with Atvero software for managing project information at the Glimpse of the Future webinar on Thursday 9 July at 12pm.

Chapman Taylor has been helping Atvero to develop an efficient, cloud-based document management system to supplement its choice of Microsoft SharePoint Online as its main internal file management and communications system. Andy and Stephen will talk about Chapman Taylor’s ongoing digital transformation from inception to deployment, while providing a glimpse of the company’s future direction using Atvero software.

In 2017, Chapman Taylor embarked on a top-down strategy to present a unified international brand, with a business goal of a fully connected and collaborative workforce able to design and deliver projects anywhere in the world.

Our existing IT and delivery platforms used on-premises servers, which restricted connectivity between our global studios and hampered efficient communication and collaboration. What was needed was a scalable and more flexible way of working, enabling the business to be agile, but without incurring huge costs to change.

A feasibility study was undertaken in mid-2018 with NittyGritty, our IT services provider, to explore how far SharePoint Online could be configured to support Chapman Taylor’s project delivery requirements. Andy and Stephen will be discussing the ways in which the SharePoint platform was adapted to support the dynamic document and information workflows necessary to deliver high-quality projects efficiently.
