No.1 Department Store in Shanghai won a 5-Star Award for ‘Best Retail Interior, China’, as well as being shortlisted for ‘Best Retail Interior, Asia-Pacific’.

The Awards are now in their 25th year, covering over 45 different residential and commercial categories, and the winners are automatically entered for the International Property Awards, which take place in London in December.

Opened in 2016, Bangkok’s Riedel Wine Bar & Cellar is the first wine bar and restaurant opened by the world-renowned Riedel glassware company. Chapman Taylor was responsible for space planning and interior design, creating a series of different areas. The project previously won the 'Best Shopping Centre' award in the 'Retail Concepts' category at the ICSC Asia-Pacific Awards 2017.

Set in the centre of Thailand's buzzing capital city, the British Club is an exclusive members-only club. The 3,000m² project is hospitality and leisure-based, aimed at young families. Facilities will include a children’s play park, international-standard squash courts, a feature cantilevered fitness suite and new F&B spaces.

The Park View Altura project creates a 10-acre luxury housing project in Gurugram, India which incorporates residential high-rise towers. The scheme is currently under construction and is on course to complete in 2019. Meanwhile, Orbit Towers in Hyderabad, India will be a 102,000m² GLA office development for IT companies, spread over a site of 3.7 acres. The scheme is currently under construction and due to complete by 2021. Also, the M3M Financial Centre in Gurugram will be a 75,000m² GLA retail and office tower development, creating a 180m, mixed-use tower which will be the tallest office building in India when it completes in 2022.

Shanghai No. 1 Department Store, once the largest in the Far East, was opened in 1934, and our renovation scheme is designed to reimagine the famous store while restoring it to its former glory. The old department store and two adjacent buildings total 110,000m² in retail space. The first phase, involving the restoration of the old store and the adjacent building, added later, opened in December 2017. A new addition, the renovated former Oriental shopping centre across the road, is linked to the rest of the store by a sky-bridge, and opened in February 2018.

Congratulations to everyone involved in all of these projects for their well-deserved success.
