Chapman Taylor designing “Tura” – a landmark mixed-use community shaping the future of North Riyadh

Chapman Taylor is pleased to announce that we are leading the design of Tura, an ambitious new mixed-use district in North Riyadh, which was launched in November at CityScape Global 2025.

The project sets out a bold vision for a future-ready urban community, combining residential neighbourhoods, luxury hospitality, retail, and workplaces, set around an extraordinary green landscape to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable new destination.

Tura mixed-use district in North Riyadh, was launched at CityScape Global 2025

The project vision aims to create an exemplar community development and a catalyst for the future expansion of North Riyadh.

With a total potential GFA of up to 250,000m², Tura is strategically located along King Abdulaziz Road and is conceived as a well-connected urban hub that will serve both residents and the wider city.

Rooted in five key principles, collective belonging, programmatic synergy, exceptional green space, hyper-activated living, and Salmani identity, the design integrates a rich mix of functions within a distinctive framework of districts, parks, and public spaces. The masterplan includes residential clusters, a grand retail boulevard, an urban lifestyle hotel, contemporary office space, and a central park offering shaded, amenity-rich environments for all ages.

Drawing inspiration from the concept “Growing from the Earth”, the architectural narrative is shaped by dramatic landforms, organic geometries and a contemporary interpretation of Najd heritage, blending future-oriented urban design with local identity.

Sustainability is fundamental, with a focus on indigenous landscapes, climatic comfort, walkability, and an active lifestyle, featuring over 5km of running tracks and a broad range of sporting facilities for residents to enjoy.

Tura’s striking urban structure features a series of interconnected neighbourhoods organised around green corridors and active public spaces that enhance liveability and social cohesion. A dynamic retail boulevard and a central park form the heart of the development, supported by hospitality landmarks and community-focused amenities.

With a strong emphasis on placemaking, human experience and future lifestyles, Tura represents a significant contribution to North Riyadh’s ongoing transformation into a global, resilient and culturally enriched metropolis.
