Chapman Taylor attending Digital Construction Week in London

A team of Digital Construction specialists from Chapman Taylor will be attending Digital Construction Week at ExCeL London on 16-17 October.

Director Andy Hudson, Associate Director and Practice CAD/BIM Manager David Wood and Assistant CAD/BIM Manager Joaquim Agostino will be there to talk about Chapman Taylor’s experience and capabilities in using digital technology in the design and construction processes as well as to investigate the very latest tools on the market.

Digital Construction Week involves a series of related events dedicated to digital construction, engineering, design, manufacturing and operation. The events are aimed at encouraging relevant industries to embrace the potential benefits on offer from using the latest and best digital tools available.

The two-day event will combine an exhibition of the latest technology with seminars, workshops, classes and networking events, bringing together a diverse range of companies from within the technology, design and construction sectors.

Chapman Taylor constantly investigates, and innovates in, the latest design and construction techniques. We are industry-leading experts in Building Information Modelling (BIM) - investing in cutting-edge Virtual Reality technology to further enhance the design process and allowing clients to get a clear 3D vision of their projects before and during construction.

Andy Hudson (BA(Hons) DipArch)

Director, UK

Andy joined Chapman Taylor in 2000, became a Director in 2008 and relocated to the Shanghai studio in 2010 where he successfully contributed to the expansion and growth of the Chinese business. Returning to London in 2014, Andy sits on the UK Board, where he is actively involved with the management of the UK business.

With a wealth of international design experience and technical knowledge, he has delivered major retail and mixed-use developments in the UK, Eastern Europe and China.

Andy is also responsible for the Group’s BIM/CAD strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

David Wood (BA (Hons), BArch, Architect)

Associate Director, UK

David joined Chapman Taylor in 2010 as BIM Manager for the Trinity Leeds project. He became an Associate Director in 2014 and is responsible for leading the implementation of Chapman Taylor’s BIM strategy across the Group and managing our team of highly-experienced BIM specialists.

He has over 10 years’ experience in implementing BIM, and regularly presents at local user groups and UK and international conferences.
