Chapman Taylor and other world-famous architects collaborate on Jinqiao CBD mixed-use project

Chapman Taylor is collaborating with some of the world’s best-known masterplanners and architects of mixed-use developments on a major new project at Jinqiao CBD, in Pudong New District, Shanghai.

The project at Jinqiao involves a workshop competition to design nine building blocks. 19 architectural designers from 14 companies will take part, with two designers working on each block (three on the central block). The competition is part of a collaborative process between major companies aimed at producing a world-class mixed-use district.

Board Director Chris Lanksbury designed blocks in competition with other designers. Chapman Taylor is one of only five of the invited companies to have two designers taking part, reinforcing the excellent reputation that the company has in China.

It is believed that millions of people will have watched the Jinqiao project press conference, which included Chris, on Chinese national television yesterday, December 12th – further raising the profile of Chapman Taylor in China.
