Buji MixC shopping centre opens in Shenzhen, China

Chapman Taylor is pleased to report that the MixC shopping centre in Buji, Shenzhen, China, officially opened on 26 April.

This 120,000m² GLA shopping centre is the first large-scale commercial complex in Buji. It served 180,000 people on its first day, with 98% of shops opened. This develoment includes 300 retail, leisure and F&B names across five floors, aimed at attracting shoppers from a wide demographic range.

Chapman Taylor’s interior design responded to the site’s context, creating bespoke themes for each part of the centre – family, fashion, entertainment and life. The project involved refreshing and updating the 10-year-old MixC brand for this new retail and leisure centre, making it more colourful and more attractive to a social media-savvy generation.

Our client for this project is one of the major Chinese retail development companies, CRL (China Resources Ltd.). Its MixC brand creates innovative shopping destinations to cater for China’s new middle class, using data-driven design to provide the optimum full day-out experience for visitors.

Congratulations and good luck in the coming years to everyone at Buji MixC.
