Phase 1 of the Reel Cinemas, Al Ghurair development delivered eight state-of-the-art cinema theatres with cutting-edge audiovisual technology, as well as an attractive F&B area.
Showing regional, Bollywood and international films, the Reel Cinemas complex is a fitting leisure attraction for the region’s first ever shopping centre, helping to bring a strong sense of experience to the flagship destination.

Phase two added 10 further theatres, with options for moviegoers at the 7,000m2 complex including a Dolby Cinema, luxury Platinum Suites and a Reel Junior theatre for kids – providing something for all the family. The completed scheme accommodates 1,800 seats across its 18 cinema theatres.

The development makes extensive use of cutting-edge audiovisual technology, as well as delivering an attractive F&B area. The cinema sits in its own dedicated, two-level wing, which connects to the rest of the centre via a link bridge. Moviegoers will be entitled to an extra two hours’ free parking on top of the standard four hours for Al Ghurair shoppers.
Chapman Taylor acted as Lead Architect, creating the design concepts and then working closely with contractor Al Tayer Stocks to detail and deliver this project on behalf of Emaar Entertainment.
