Achievements Magazine takes off

In 2008 Chapman Taylor launched the first issue of our company magazine, Achievements. The magazine showcased a range of projects that had been completed throughout 2008, with high-quality photography and an overview of each scheme. The magazine was offset-printed on Megagloss stock, with a saddle stitch binding.

Building on success

Since then, Achievements has been published every 2 years, with the content of the magazine evolving with time and new ideas. The second instalment of Achievements featured a new section of projects ‘on the drawing board’, including work in development across Chapman Taylor’s international studios. The edition also incorporated a new design approach to the cover, with a fresh, simple layout, dominated by a bold, abstract image. The format of the magazine also progressed, to an oversize, perfect-bound document, offset-printed on satin stock.

Introducing new features

By 2012, Achievements had become an established feature of Chapman Taylor’s marketing collateral, highlighting the successes of the preceding two years. The third issue of Achievements introduced a range of new content, including completed and on-site projects, office profiles, case studies, articles and features on topical issues relating to the built environment. This issue was offset-printed and perfect-bound with soft touch laminate and clear spot varnish, giving the cover a tactile feel.

Continued Evolution

2014 saw the release of the fourth and largest instalment of Achievements to date. As with previous issues, the structure of the magazine had evolved to include a greater variety of content, including a strong emphasis on feature articles written by key directors across our sectors and studios. A dedicated ‘Showcase’ section was introduced to highlight our recently completed projects, and a new section with featuring staff from around the Chapman Taylor group added a human touch to the publication. The magazine is perfect-bound and offset-printed, with a silk laminated cover and a white foiled title.

Since launching in 2008, Achievements has evolved to become our most popular publication among clients and staff alike
