New pictures of the recently opened Hotel Indigo in Coventry

Hotel Indigo in Coventry opened to the public in January 2024. Chapman Taylor designed the architecture and interiors of this upscale boutique hotel.

The 4-Star Hotel Indigo features 101 guest rooms and a high-end restaurant with a versatile private dining and meeting room facility.

A 40-cover bar and a guest lounge also welcome visitors on the ground floor to ensure lively street frontage and a vibrant atmosphere. Amenities also include a dedicated guest multi-gym, complete with weights and resistance training machines.

The hotel was developed by Castlebridge Group, a property company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, sustainable developments across the UK.

Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel brand in the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). It is known for its unique design, personalised service, and locally inspired experiences.

Our design team developed unique themes that drew inspiration from Coventry's local heritage and rich history of innovation to provide a narrative for the guestrooms and public spaces. Each narrative was whimsically interpreted, like finding the ‘Elephant in the Room’ (the elephant being a historic symbol for Coventry). References to Coventry's automobile industry and cycling heritage abound, ensuring guests discover something new on each visit.

The new Hotel Indigo Coventry is in the city's heart, opposite the Council’s new headquarters. Together, they form part of the wider Friargate business district masterplan, funded by a joint venture between Coventry City Council and Friargate LLP. The masterplan is a new entry point to the city from Coventry train station, including the extended Greyfriars Green Park. It is expected to create new jobs and contribute to the area's economic growth.
