Chapman Taylor and Scott.Weber Workspace win Office of the Year 2026 Award for Náměstí Republiky 7
We are delighted to announce that Chapman Taylor, in collaboration with Scott.Weber Workspace, has won the Flexible Workplace accolade in the Hub & Co-Working category at this year's prestigious Kanceláře Roku (Office of the Year) 2026 Awards.
Organised annually by Prochazka & Partners, the awards celebrate organisations that invest in creating attractive, functional, and healthy workplace environments, recognising global excellence in office design and employee experience. This year's accolade highlights Chapman Taylor's ongoing commitment to designing dynamic working environments that seamlessly respond to the changing needs of modern businesses and their people.
A flagship destination for the hybrid era
The award-winning fit-out spans 4,630 m² across the landmark Náměstí Republiky 7 (NR7) building in Prague and provides a comprehensive flexible workspace offering. The extensive scheme includes 90 private offices, 17 meeting rooms, an indoor atrium, roof terraces, a conservatory, and four event halls, the largest of which can accommodate up to 130 guests.
The project forms part of the wider transformation of NR7, a prominent building on one of Prague’s main squares. Reopened in 2026 following a €39.8 million renovation, the heritage-protected, eight-storey neoclassical building, originally constructed in 1905, has been reimagined as a flagship flexible workspace destination for Scott.Weber Workspace.
Balancing heritage with high-performance design
Designed by Chapman Taylor in close cooperation with Scott.Weber Workspace’s in-house design team, the winning concept challenges the traditional, static office layout by introducing an adaptable framework engineered for the hybrid era. Rather than focusing solely on interior aesthetics, the design prioritises a high-performance ecosystem optimised for both individual focus and teamwork.
The interior concept carefully balances the preservation of the building’s historic character with the demands of a contemporary workplace. Original architectural features, including wrought-iron railings and mirrored walls, have been retained and celebrated. Meanwhile, modern interventions introduce flexibility and natural light alongside a diverse range of acoustically protected quiet zones, flexible communal spaces, and dedicated areas for spontaneous collaboration.
Setting a new benchmark
Ultimately, the project reflects the growing demand for sustainable, healthy, and inspiring environments that people choose to return to for their superior infrastructure, community, and support.
The Office of the Year award recognises the success of a design that combines authentic historic character with contemporary functionality. NR7 now serves as a benchmark project in Prague, demonstrating how thoughtful design can breathe new life into heritage buildings while meeting the evolving needs of modern occupiers.
Congratulations to our project team and partners on this fantastic achievement, which reinforces Chapman Taylor's global expertise in creating long-term asset value through forward-thinking workplace architecture.
