Alexander Esfahani to lead Chapman Taylor’s Responsible Design Group

We are delighted to announce that Senior Architect Alexander (Alex) Esfahani has been appointed to lead Chapman Taylor’s Responsible Design Group.

Based in our Manchester studio since 2016, Alex is a key member of the Feasibility team, predominantly focusing on the Residential and Mixed-Use sectors. Additionally, Alex has played a pivotal role in the Responsible Design Steering Group, actively contributing to the development and implementation of our sustainability strategy. His dedication to promoting our sustainability initiatives at UK and international conferences has also raised awareness of our commitments in this area.

Chapman Taylor is continuing to strengthen our knowledge and the implementation of environmentally responsible and sustainable design across our international studios. To that end, we launched a Responsible Design Group in 2021 with a broad vision which includes initiatives beyond the remit of environmental sustainability.

The Responsible Design Group has been instrumental in guiding a 'Responsible Design' approach to Chapman Taylor’s projects; considering not just the climate change impacts, but also social, economic, and ethical issues, based around the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and principles of exemplary placemaking.

As custodians of the environment for future generations, we work with our clients to help them achieve their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, whilst maximising the benefits from their investments.
