Oaks Prague residential development wins Bronze Award at the 2020 WAN Awards
The Oaks Prague village centre residential scheme has won the Bronze Award in the “Future Projects (Residential)” category at the 2020 WAN Awards.
Oaks Prague will be a beautiful countryside residential and leisure community at Nebřenice, close to the Czech capital. The vision of client Arendon Development is to create a place that embodies of the spirit of central Bohemia, using the characteristics of rural Bohemian villages as inspiration, but with a thoroughly contemporary interpretation. The scheme includes luxury villas, high-quality apartments, a country club, an 18-hole golf course, local shops and services, a kindergarten and other amenities for the residents and surrounding communities.
Situated in the beautiful Czech countryside, yet only half an hour from central Prague, this high-quality residential development is designed to meet the needs of those who value country living within touching distance of the capital – a place for families and with a strong sense of community. The project focuses on promoting healthy living and active environments, providing the basis for a better quality of life for its residents.
Every home at The Oaks has been designed to make the most of the natural surroundings, with each space connected to the landscape through patios, balconies, spacious rooms, large openings, and gardens, which have been designed as natural extensions of the indoor living spaces. The use of natural materials, and a focus on energy efficiency, is at the heart of a responsible design ethos which carefully respects the context and the needs of those who will live there.
Phase 1, which is currently on site, features the village square and four apartment buildings designed by JTP and Chapman Taylor, and three houses designed by McGarry Moon. Chapman Taylor’s two apartment buildings frame the traditional village square, accommodating local amenities on the ground floor, including a grocery store, a bakery, a bistro and other services. The apartments offer stunning views across the surrounding countryside.
Congratulations on this well-deserved award to all involved in this innovative and much-anticipated project.
