Sensitive redevelopment of Cour Bareuzai progressing well in Dijon, France
Construction is progressing well at the Cour Bareuzai retail project in the UNESCO World Heritage city centre of Dijon, France.
The development will involve the careful renovation of a 17th/18th century mansion house building formerly used as offices for Dijon's local authorities. Foundations for new, contemporary extension buildings were laid recently in the courtyard, and a wall which blocked views to the historic buildings has been demolished.
The context-sensitive scheme will create 2,300m² of new high-end retail and restaurant space across three floors, designed to blend harmoniously with the surroundings. It is anticipated that the new shopping scheme will be open in 2019.
