Refurbishment of Halle Place food hall completed at Manchester Arndale

The refurbishment of Halle Place, which will be Manchester Arndale shopping centre’s new dining quarter, is now complete.

The 2,320m² redevelopment saw shops converted into 10 new restaurants, cafés and bars, including offers from Tapas Revolution, Barburitto and Fizz! Bar.

The centre’s new culinary destination includes a beautiful and striking oval ceiling centrepiece, supplied and installed by metal ceiling designers SAS International.

The repurposing of this part of Manchester Arndale is another example of the trend towards cutting and carving extra F&B and leisure space into retail schemes in order to create a more varied experience for visitors.

Chapman Taylor and Rawls & Co Architects were responsible for the design of this new F&B space, with Chapman Taylor also working with SAS and Main Contractor ISG during the construction phase. Chapman Taylor was previously responsible for designing the successful refurbishment of Manchester Arndale, which completed in 2006.
