Promotions to the UK Executive Group announced

We are pleased to announce the promotions to the UK Executive Group of Angharad Jones, Christina Dixon, Gerard Ellis, Michaela O’Hare and Petra Klauzova.

Angharad Jones

Angharad, from our London studio, has been promoted to Senior Architect and a member of the London Executive Group.

Angharad qualified as an architect in 2018 after studying at Kingston University for her Part 3, where she also obtained her BA and MArch degrees.

She joined Chapman Taylor in 2016, and has worked as a key member of the Transport team on projects such as Jersey Airport, Project Ensemble, Do & Co, St Pancras and Project Frostbite.

Angharad has led many of the teams BIM innovations, is an active member of the Transport business development group and has experience of working in the UK and internationally, from commercial masterplanning and concept design through to detail design.

She previously worked at Overland and Partners Architects in Texas, during which time she gained experience in masterplanning and residential design as well as mastering Revit.

Christina Dixon

Christina, from our London studio, has been promoted to Senior Project Architect and a member of the Executive Group in London.

Christina joined Chapman Taylor’s London studio in 2017, having previously worked at Frederick Gibberd Partnership focusing on the design and delivery of mixed-use, residential and educational buildings. She trained at Northumbria and Oxford Brookes Universities and qualified as an architect in 2016.

Since joining Chapman Taylor, Christina has led the design development of Fenwick at Brent Cross before moving on to Millbrook Park, where she has become a key member of our growing residential team. Christina has a keen interest in community-driven urban design and has recently joined both the Sustainability and Residential Groups.

Gerard Ellis

Gerard has been promoted to Senior Architect and a member of the Executive Group in the Bristol studio.

Gerard joined Chapman Taylor’s Bristol studio in 2015, having previously worked in Bath on residential schemes and in London on large-scale leisure buildings. He trained at the University of Bath and qualified as an architect in 2012.

He initially worked on some of our feasibility projects before becoming the Project Architect for Castle Park View, a 375-apartment Build-to-Rent scheme in Bristol. He was instrumental in obtaining a unanimous planning approval for this – the tallest residential building in Bristol and a significant project for the studio and for CT’s UK Residential team. He is also a member of the studio’s BD Team, making good use of his growing network of residential client contacts.

Due to his passion for considered and responsible design, and his residential expertise, Gerard is now instrumental in developing options for The Galleries mixed-use scheme, a project which seeks to provide retail, leisure, office and additional residential apartments to revitalise a city centre quarter in the heart of Bristol.

Michaela O’Hare

Michaela has been promoted to Senior Interior Designer and a member of the Executive Group in Manchester.

Michaela joined the Interiors team in Chapman Taylor’s Manchester studio in 2015, having previously worked with a small interior design practice in Manchester focusing on office interiors. She trained at Manchester Metropolitan University and qualified as an interior designer in 2009.

Since joining Chapman Taylor, Michaela has worked on the interior design of a number of high-profile projects, including the ISG Headquarters at MediaCityUK Tomorrow, MediaCityUK Bupa Place and, most recently, Lowry Lifestyle Outlet, where she has developed the interior concepts for the Watergardens and Food Kitchen.

Michaela champions the use of Revit and Enscape to develop and communicate interior design and, as a Next Gen member of the BCO, Michaela is currently working on proposals to achieve a Well Accreditation Standard for the Manchester studio.

Petra Klauzova

Petra has been promoted to Senior Designer and a member of the Executive Group in London.

Petra initially worked for Chapman Taylor’s Prague studio, helping to deliver major projects such as Prague Airport, Ganjlik Mall and Oregon Park. She joined the London studio in September 2015.

Since then, Petra has worked on many UK and international projects, including Crystal City, Lalesi Bay, Serpentine Green, The District in Abu Dhabi, Budapest Soroksari, Upper Precinct Coventry, Smichov South in Prague. She is currently working on Milanord2 Cinisello, where she is leading the coordination of various elements of a very complex project.

She is also a dedicated member of the UK Sustainability Group and passionately promotes the latest environmental sustainability solutions.

Petra’s creativity, design flair and software proficiency are a major and much appreciated asset for the UK Feasibility Team.

Congratulations to all on their well deserved promotions!
