Connect with us at the BCO One Day Conference in Belfast, 22nd September

Chapman Taylor delegates will be attending the next BCO Conference, taking place at PWC’s BCO Regional Award-Winning Offices at Merchant Place in Belfast City Centre.

Belfast will provide the perfect setting for the office community to network and debate the nature of the workplace in a national and regional context. Attending from Chapman Taylor will be Directors Mark Doughty and Gavin King, Associate Director Daniel Morgans and Senior interior designer Michaela O’Hare. Belfast is a city full of ambition, optimism, and above all, energy. It is a modern, compact capital city packed with history and world-class culture. It is one of the youngest cities in Europe with over 40 % of its population aged 30 years or younger and has been recognised as the world’s most business-friendly small city by the FT.

Led by the BCO Northern Committee this One Day Conference will connect leading occupiers, developers and business leaders. Keynote speakers will cover the local market, development, occupation and economics. Later there will be four building tours and an evening drinks reception hosted at the historic Titanic Hotel.

Mark Doughty (BA (Hons) BArch)

Director, UK

Mark joined Chapman Taylor in 2006, becoming a Director in 2022. A key member of the Manchester studio’s management team, Mark has a business development remit for the office workplace sector across the UK business.

He has over 10 years’ experience and has successfully completed a number of major award winning projects across a range of sectors.

Mark joined Chapman Taylor in 2006 becoming an Associate Director in 2016. A key member of the Manchester studio’s management team, Mark has a business development remit for the office workplace sector across the UK business.

He has over 10 years’ experience and has successfully completed a number of major award winning projects across a range of sectors.

He takes an active part in the BCO and completed last year’s Cycle Challenge riding from London to Amsterdam over four days with fifty members of the BCO.

Gavin King

Director, UK

Gavin joined Chapman Taylor in 2021 to help reinforce and expand our capability in the workplace sector, in which he has more than 25 years of award-winning experience working as an Interior Designer with global clients, government agencies, academia and professional services organisations.

Having worked on projects with a diverse range of well-known clients, Gavin has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and is frequently invited to contribute to roundtable discussions and networking events. He is able to quickly build strong relationships with clients and end-users and excels at briefing and engagement.

Gavin passionately believes in working with clients and collaboratively including them in the design process, and he has a keen interest in how design can support business change, believing there is a need to focus on delivering economically successful projects that support clients in their business objectives.

Daniel Morgans (BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA)

Associate Director, UK

Daniel joined Chapman Taylor in 2017 as an Associate Director and works as a key member of our UK concept design team. A creative and innovative designer, he specialises in turning a client’s vision into a successful project.

Daniel has over 15 years’ experience as an architect in the UK and overseas, eight of these spent working in the luxury residential and hospitality sectors and on a number of sensitive urban and historical sites.

He also has experience in coordinating teams for large-scale mixed-use projects in the Middle East, Europe and CIS.

Michaela O’Hare (BA (Hons) Interior Design)

Senior Interior Designer, UK

Michaela is a Senior Interior Designer who has worked on several high-profile projects, including the ISG Headquarters at MediaCityUK Tomorrow, MediaCityUK Bupa Place and Quayside MediaCityUK (formerly Lowry Lifestyle Outlet), where she has developed the interior concepts for the Watergardens F&B area.

Michaela trained at Manchester Metropolitan University, qualifying as an Interior Designer in 2009. She been with Chapman Taylor’s Manchester studio since 2015.

She champions the use of Revit and Enscape to develop and communicate interior design and, as a Next Gen member of the BCO, Michaela is currently working on proposals to achieve a WELL® accreditation standard for the Manchester studio.
